MENTER AGM 26th September 2005, Cambridge

|
MENTER’s AGM on 26th September was well attended by around one hundred representatives of BME community groups, government bodies and other voluntary sector organisations in the Region.
|
|
On the agenda was the usual AGM business like accounts and board member election. There were also speakers on various issues affecting BME communities. The main speaker, Audrey Adams from the 1990 Trust, talked on racism and how this can deny basic Human Rights.
|
|
|
|
After the speakers, there was was time to network and enjoy a buffet of various international dishes prepared by MENTER members, as well as entertainment and exhibitions. These included, Leave to Remain by Diana Matar, Exhibition Islam and the Gypsy & Traveller Anti-Discriminatory Display by the East of England Traveller Resource Partnership.
